The small print
Privacy
Short and plain. We collect as little as we can, and we never sell it.
What we collect
- Newsletter: your email address, when you subscribe.
- Suggestions: what you write in the suggestion form (machine, rate, time, type and your note), and your email address if you choose to give it.
- Spam protection: to stop automated posts, the forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, and we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of the IP address a form was sent from for up to an hour, so we can limit repeat sends.
- No tracking cookies. No advertising trackers and no analytics cookies. One feature stores something on your own device: ticks you make on the 4-Week Plan are saved in your browser, and never sent to us.
Why
- Your newsletter email is used only to send you the newsletter.
- Suggestions help us decide which sessions to make. If you leave your email with a suggestion, we use it only to tell you if it becomes a video.
Where it is kept
The site runs on Cloudflare, and form entries are stored in a Cloudflare database. We cannot guarantee that it is kept in the EU or the UK. [PLACEHOLDER: the newsletter provider, once chosen, also holds subscriber addresses.]
How to have it deleted
Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link. To have your email address or a suggestion deleted, emailprivacy@ergmetronome.com and we will remove it.
What we never do
We never sell your data, and we never share it with anyone except the services that run the site and send the emails.
